Our visits to de Montille get (thankfully) longer each year as we continue to deepen our relationship with Etienne, Brian and the team.
We can’t think of another address in Burgundy that has such strength in its domaine whites and Cote de Beaune reds (and the highly sought after Vosne Romanée ‘Malconsorts’ cherry on top) and we are delighted to carry a good selection from across their portfolio.

What the critics say:
"The darker colour of the two and funkily reductive having just finished malolactic and is yet to be racked. There is significant weight on the palate, more than the regular, all in one tone at the moment but the extra weight really fills the whole palate. Concentrated dark cherries and some plums. Fruit overwhelms the structure. Right at the back the tension from the mix of acidity and whole bunches. Very good length. In fact, the aftertaste is stunning. Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted: October 2022."
"The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts Cuvée Christiane 1er Cru has two-thirds whole cluster, a little more than the regular cuvée, malo not completed until August 2022. The bouquet is fresh on the entry with fine acidity; there's more detail and nuance here. The 2021 is beautifully balanced and quite granular towards the finish, full of tension with a long tail on the finish. Sublime."
