With a history dating back to the 1970s, this family-owned winery has consistently produced wines that capture the essence of Napa's terroir. The Shafer family, led by patriarch John Shafer, took a leap of faith in the early 1970s when they purchased a Stags Leap District property. With no prior experience in winemaking, they embarked on a journey that would lead to the creation of some of Napa's most iconic wines.
