Our note
The 2023 vintage, shaped by Matthieu Mangenot’s expertise, reflects a shift from the previous year with less use of whole bunch fermentation, focusing instead on purity and clarity of fruit. Across the range, the wines showcase impressive structure, vibrant acidity, and nuanced expressions of their respective terroirs, promising early approachability for some and significant aging potential for others.
What the critics say:
"Lovely aroma of ripe apple and apricot, along with a suggestion of white flowers on the initial attack. The texture is supple, ripe and creamy. The grapes are from 1.2ha in this lieu-dit on the northern edge of the appellation, not far from the premier cru Champs Martin. The vines are planted in heavy clay soils over a hard layer of limestone. This will be ready to drink on release."
"Nice bite. Citrus, pith and flesh, and relatively sweet fruit. I like this. It is open and approachable. But it has shape. It finishes the sentence. Grammatically perfect with a touch of iambic pentameter."
