Just 30 kilometers from the Mediterranean and the vibrant city of Barcelona, Parés Baltà has roots that go back to 1790, when the first vines were planted around the estate’s historic manor house—vines that are still thriving today. For the past three generations, the Cusiné family has been the driving force behind the vineyard, blending tradition with a progressive, hands-on approach.

A standout part of the story is the winery’s legacy of female leadership in winemaking. For over 20 years, María Elena and Marta—the talented wives of Joan and Josep Cusiné—have led the winemaking at Parés Baltà. Both trained at the University of Tarragona, they bring a spirit of curiosity and innovation, pushing boundaries while staying rooted in the family’s biodynamic and organic philosophy. The result? A collection of expressive wines and cava that are as thoughtful as they are delicious.
