Clemens and his wife Rita are a humble yet hugely respected duo, having built a cult following over the past 30 years for their incredibly precise, richly textured, and terroir-driven wines. In the world of Riesling, the Mosel is king, and their wines capture its essence like no other.
Since 2015, they’ve been part of Respekt, a group of biodynamic winemakers. But Clemens has been ahead of the game for decades—he ditched herbicides back in 1976 and embraced organic viticulture long before it became mainstream. Nowhere else is the connection between vine, winemaker, and terroir so perfectly expressed—and honestly, we’ve yet to find Rieslings quite like these.

"The aromatic density and complexity of this extraordinary dry Mosel riesling must be tasted to be believed. In spite of this it is only medium-bodied. A kaleidoscopic image of the steep-sided valley with an extremely wide spectrum of floral, citrus and stone fruit aromas, all accentuated by wild herb freshness. Incredibly silky and pure finish with absolute precision. Limited production. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drink from release."
"The Marienburg Felsterrasse 2023, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, was fermented down to officially dry levels of residual sugar and was bottled in August 2024. It offers a hugely complex and impressively layered nose of smoke, grapefruit, lime zest, fine spices, minty herbs (rosemary, thyme), freshly cut herbs, iodine, and violet. The wine is even more impressive on the palate, where it has great density and energy. It proves finely juicy yet straight and focused. The finish delivers intensity and even a hint of power, yet the balance is superb. This is a magnificent dry Riesling."
