"From 45–50-year-old vines, this Premier Cru captivates with an aromatic profile of bright red berry fruit and hints of baked spice. The palate is lush and long, with ripe, plentiful tannins that promise excellent ageing potential. The use of 50% new oak lends structure without overshadowing the wine's vibrant fruit character."

"The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has quite an expressive nose, with black cherries, fresh fig and light licorice scents gradually emerging-though its 50% new oak is quite vocal. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, finely balanced with (again) the new oak shaping the mid-palate and finish. There is a good Aux Brûlées here, though you'll have to wait for the oak to be assimilated."
