"A blend of Les Damaudes and Basses Maizières, elegance from the former and weight from the latter. An attractive fresh ruby. The bouquet is absolutely Vosne Romanée in its classy petits fruits rouges. Then there is more concentration on the palate, as the Maizières component kicks in. The whole blends well together to a very classy finish. All the structural elements are in place while the raspberry fruit gains in intensity towards the back. Tasted Oct 2024 *****"
"This is often an over-performing village wine. It is a blend of Damaudes at the top of the hill on the southern end of the village and Basses Maizières at the bottom of the hill on the north end, both of which are too small to make as separate cuvées. Resolutely full in body, this is unabashedly fruit-driven on the nose with baked cobbler berries and oodles of baking spice. Cooler forest scents come in on the palate, as do the marble-smooth tannins and waterfall of lifting acidity. Certified AB organic."
