"From a one-year-old barrel. Straight, pure, intense, precisely edged, and so very long. Strangely, this was already all in place when I tasted it, and it was showing incredibly well."
"This year, there are two barrels of the 2023 Montrachet Grand Cru, both one year old. The nose initially shows quite a bit of reduction, but it recedes with time, revealing wonderful crushed stone/oyster shell scents mingling with yellow plum. The palate is very harmonious, vibrant and full of energy with a pitch-perfect line of acidity, weight and density toward the finish, but so, so elegant. This is wonderful."
