The 2023 vintage was a fine one in Mercurey with the main choices being selection of the best grapes in an abundant harvest and choosing the right date to pick in order to gain full ripeness whilst remaining fresh and not becoming over-ripe. The character of the wines isn’t too solar though – this is a superb year where nature did all the work and it was the winemaker’s job to select the best of the harvest.
"Bright floral fragrance jumping out of the glass. Lovely fruit and acidity on the body, very long and bright on the palate. Superb, with a nice ginger twist on the palate to finish."
