A Mixed case based on the French and Italian delicacies which are the staple of my family's Christmas feast. It includes some brilliant wines which will pair well with all sorts of festive dishes. Bon appétit!

Donnachiara Santé Spumante Falanghina, NV (75cl)
Boasting fruity and citrusy aromas, with hints  of toasted bread crust dancing around the palate. With a rich, creamy mousse, fine perlage and intense brightness, it has all the class of a top bubbly.

Marchesi Antinori Bramito Della Sala Chardonnay, 2022 (75cl)
A bouquet offering crisp, juicy peaches and apricots, hints of vanilla bean and custard. With residual acidity, minerality and a lovely freshness on the finish, this will go down a treat with all white fish dishes.

Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Bas Liards Pierre Meurgey, 2019 (75cl)
Full of pretty light cherry and strawberry, with a touch of succulent black fruits and liquorice, this wine has an alluring balance and finesse which will pair well with a plate full of turkey and trimmings. This delicious wine will take pride of place at my Christmas dinner table.

Le Gode Rosso di Montalcino, 2021 (75cl)
Offers a beguiling nose full of wild berry fruits, juicy plums and tobacco. Silky with long, structured tannins and impressive depth and complexity, it's a wine fit for any festive feast.

Domaine Hubert Brochard Pouilly-Fumé Classique, 2022 (75cl)
Impressive aromas of vibrant lemons, crisp green apples and zesty lime skin with a trademark flint smoke finish. Goes very well with oysters, goat cheeses or as a stand-alone aperitif: I'm already dreaming about tucking into a plate of scallops with this in my glass.

Château Rieussec Les Carmes de Rieussec Sauternes, 2020 (37.5cl)
Because what would Christmas be without Sauternes? Rich and full-bodied, sweet and fragrant with a refreshing acidity; it is packed with candied apricots and peaches, with complementary layers of honey and marzipan. A long and lingering finish full of fruit and sweet spice, this is a guaranteed showstopper with any cheeseboard or dessert.
