The charming and self-effacing couple of Clemens and his wife Rita have gained a cult following over the past three decades for their laser-sharp, richly textured and terroir defined wines.
Riesling is the king of grapes, the Mosel its most illustrious terrain and so produces its ultimate expression. Nowhere in the world is the identification of vine, winemaker and produce more precisely defined, and nowhere have we found Rieslings to compare with these.
In the sweet versus dry debate, it’s worth noting that Clemens only uses natural yeasts, preferring each wine to find its perfect balance in each vintage.

"From 36- to 41-year-old vines on gray slate in the main part of the VDP. Grosse Lage, the Pündericher 2018 Marienburg GG is pure and stony on the deep, fine, fresh and elegant yet rather ascetic, terroir-driven nose. Pure, elegant and finessed on the piquant and salty palate, this is a finely juicy yet elegant and tensioned Riesling with grip, salt and perfectly ripe, healthy fruit. The wine is pure even in this challenging warm and dry vintage. It is neither massive nor all too powerful and, if you so will, the classic of an extraordinary year. 13% alcohol.
