Grown in the ideal coastal regions near the village of Pinet in the Languedoc, the Picpoul grape thrives in this unique microclimate. The Picpoul de Pinet appellation stretches from Pézenas to the fishing port of Sète, offering the perfect conditions for this distinctive variety. The name "Picpoul" is thought to come from the local chickens, or "poulets," that peck at the grapes, blown off the vines by the region's sea breezes.
