One of Montalcino's rising stars, we are thrilled to have Tenuta Luce on our book for the first time this year. Founded in the early 1990s as a collaboration between the Frescobaldi family and Robert Mondavi, Tenuta Luce was established with the aim of exploring Montalcino’s potential beyond Sangiovese.
The estate spans 249 hectares, with 88 under vine, situated in the southwest of the region at altitudes ranging from 200 to 430 metres. The soils, a mix of galestro and clay, provide structure and freshness to the wines. While best known for Luce, a Sangiovese-Merlot blend, the estate also produces a cracking Brunello di Montalcino and a selection of other wines.
